Getting food and drink onto shelves in Kosovo and the UK.
Bakalli SHPK is a Kosovo food and beverage business. We build routes to market for manufacturers — pricing, logistics, buyers and repeat orders — across the Balkans and the UK.
From a small shop to a regional distributor.
Bakalli SHPK started in 2015 as a private retail operation. It now works in product distribution, brand development and international trade.
We work the way a manufacturer needs us to. First we understand what you want commercially, then we test whether the market supports it.
That means checking landed costs before anyone prints a label, picking the channels that suit the product, and building demand order by order.
We would rather hold a small account that reorders every month than announce a large launch that stalls after the first container.
Where a partnership is still under discussion, we say so. Territories and exclusivity are not treated as agreed until they are signed.
What we do
Distribution and route to market
Channel selection, wholesale and retail engagement, commercial modelling, and expanding territory by territory.
International business development
Finding and building manufacturer and supplier partnerships across the UK, Kosovo and the wider Balkans.
Retail and wholesale accounts
Direct work with wholesalers, independent retailers and larger retail groups, aimed at repeat accounts rather than one-off drops.
Market entry and brand building
Market assessment, positioning, buyer outreach, launch planning and trade marketing for brands entering a new territory.
Where products go
Coverage is built for each product rather than sold as one fixed network.
| Category | Experience |
|---|---|
| Edible oils | Bakalli Sunlight sunflower oil — our own brand |
| Confectionery | Flavour candy and related consumer products |
| Biscuits and wafers | Wafer and chocolate biscuit products |
| Snacking | Microwave popcorn |
| Beverages | Fresh drinks, natural spring water, sparkling mineral water |
How we open a market
Four stages. Each one has to pay for the next.
Commercial assessment
Review the range, pricing, shipping and minimum orders. Work out landed cost, where the product sits against what is already on shelf, and which channels can carry it.
Targeted market entry
Build a target account list, take the product to wholesalers and retailers, and bring buyer feedback straight back to the manufacturer.
Customer and demand development
Open the first accounts, support sell-through with trade or consumer activity, and watch the reorder rate rather than the launch numbers.
Scale on performance
Use real sales to set stock levels, wider distribution, marketing spend and longer-term terms.
